Ever hear of such a thing?
My dad (PO) tells me that when the wood bed rotted away, he made a bed out of 1/8 inch steel and "plug welded it." That's right: he bolted the custom-made bed down to the frame, cut off the bolt heads, then filled the holes up with weld, grinded smooth.
Anyone ever hear of such a thing being done to replace a truck bed? *If I ever need to remove the bed....oh my! :waah: |

Just say thank you, and be on your way. Thats a direct Jack Nicholson quote

it should be easy to remove the nuts...or break them loose.

Re: Ever hear of such a thing?
i've seen a 1/4 diamond plate floor wwelded to the box sides and then to the frame where they used to bolt on
that was a pretty common farmer fix for many years for old trucks |

Now how it attached it to the bed itself, that might make taking the bed itself apart difficult... |
