Christmas in September 66 c10
1 Attachment(s)
I have lots of projects. Way to many. Then I hear about some old blue truck for sale. Turns out to be a 66 c10 swb big window. I normally flip cars. I may have to make room in the garage for this gem. I got it home a put a magnet all over it. Solid, solid, solid I am amazed how good this truck is. Only minor rust bubbles in a few places. Hood has minor rust on one corner. This truck must have spent most of it's life inside. Stay tuned for details.

Re: Christmas in September 66 c10
All the trim is worth something in itself! Is that all factory or has it been restored before?

Some more pics. No rust in cab corners, no rust in rockers, some bubbles in door, some small bubbles in one spot bed. Some one will be getting a deal on back sliding glass. Seat neeeds covering and needs new wood in bed. |
Re: Christmas in September 66 c10
Is it an original NC truck?
|
Re: Christmas in September 66 c10
Score!! I don't think I've ever seen a sliding back glass for a BBW. I kinda like it.
Congrats... |

Re: Christmas in September 66 c10
Ok I have spent all day looking at wood for the bed and seat covers. Reading about brakes and 5 lug conversions. This site has a lot of good information.
My plans....... Get it running. Lower a few inches. New wood. Cover seat. Change back glass. cruise. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Christmas in September 66 c10
Just went thur glove box and found original owners manual, protecto plate some old registrations and some other papers relating to past transactions. I can't wait to get time to get started.
Truck began life in NC and looks to have one repaint. Floors have some amateur patches that I will cut out and fix correctly. I am excited with this truck, this was someone's baby. All trim looks original Posted via Mobile Device |

Friend offered to fix me some wood for my bed. He has air dried oak, walnut, pine, or cedar.
While working on my truck today, a found that I got a nest full of wasps for free with the deal. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |
