Leaky recovery tank

hey guys. I was having a problem with my radiator recovery tank. Its got an overflow valve that's only suppose to drip fluid out if the tank is too full. my temp gauge don't get any hotter than 210. usually stays between 180-200. However, every time I drive the truck, the overflow hose has spewed fluid all over the engine. I don't know whats going on. any ideas???

IIRC, these systems were designed to run with the coolant a couple of inches below the 'full ring' of the radiator. Doing so seems to cure the problem, and the rad. seems to be stable at this level.
