Head question

So I picked up a set of heads today for the rare piece of FREE. I've done my resource on them and haven't herd great things about them but I want to know what others have seen, herd or experience. They are the light weight 462624 76cc 2.02 1.60 heads they look to be in good shape but really dirty and the runners look bigger then the 2.02's I have now. They also are a million times lighter then the other type. They are cast though. Anyone got any personal info on them?

Later 70's/80's light weight casting head.

If they need work I would toss them as they are crack prone.

Re: Head question

So crack prone due to wear or heat. They need cleaned but other wise they look solid.

Re: Head question

Heat cycles probably crack heads along with extra heat from working the engine.

If they just need to be cleaned I would use them if I needed, but I wouldn't much more the valve seals on them.

Clean 'em up and have 'em magnafluxed before you make any plans for them. Those are probably the most crack prone heads ever made by the General.

Re: Head question

Well it looks like creagslist they go. Thanks for all your help guys, if they are so questionable I'm not even gonna bother fluxing them. Waist of money.
