not a lot out there for 2wd. how hi do you want to go?
to do it at a reasonable cost i would start with a 3" body lift, should be able to get a 32-33" tire under it.
if you want to go higher (again reasonable cost), some 3" coil spacers

with some balljoint spacers
http://www.airbagit.com/balljoint-sp...-bj-gm7387.htm
for some more money you can get longer coils
http://www.ebay.com/itm/63-91-Chevy-...sories&vxp=mtr
could also run fiberglass fenders with bigger wheel openings ($$)

& if you really want to blow alot of money on a 2wd, put a I-beam axle in the front($$$$$$$$$)

This is a great call and I would do it in a heartbeat the only thing is the truck was my grandfathers and it holds sentimental value to me!

i guess if the truck has sentimental value to you, you'd prob. not want to trim your fenders or add some cut-out flares to take care of the rub?
as to lifting a 2wd, there's nothing wrong with that. i've seen locker equipped 2 wheels hang with nicely built 4 by's, there more practical as a daily, cheaper to build, look at baha, fastest trucks are 2 by.
'bout 90% of my trucks have been 4x4, will always take one over a 2wd, but if it was all i had, i'd be cranking that sucker up too

I have a 3" body lift on my '81 2WD, I have 31in tires but 33's would fit no problem.
