72 Blazer bench seat?
Anyone know if there was option for a front bench seat in a 72 Blazer? I was a swap meat today, and a guy had a bench seat with a folding armrest. He said it was out of a Blazer. Said he knew the truck. I looked at the mounts and they looked right. IDK.

Re: 72 Blazer bench seat?
Never heard of a front bench seat for a 72 k5. It wasn't on the options sheet anyway. Maybe someone else can chime in but I don't think there was an option.

Re: 72 Blazer bench seat?
Blazers only came with a bucket, or buckets. With a bench, getting to the back seat is pretty tough!

Re: 72 Blazer bench seat?
There was an old magazine article on the Blazer when it first came out (maybe Auto Trend or something like that) that featured a red Blazer with a bench seat. That Blazer was not equipped with a rear seat, and had the spare tire carrier mounted directly behind the driver. Someone will be able to post up the article, as I've seen it here on this board before when this question came up last time. Probably not a production line option, but it showed up in that early test vehicle.

Re: 72 Blazer bench seat?
Just saw this...I have a 69 Blazer that didn't come with seats, but the guy I got it from said it originally had a front bench seat with folding armrests. There are no holes on the passenger floor for the U shaped rear hold down bracket. Hmmm ?

Re: 72 Blazer bench seat?
My 69 has a bench seat in it and the tracks seem to bolt up to the factory mounting holes in the floor. Tomorrow I'm going to check if it has the holes for the pass. Side rear bucket mounts.
