plug wires

I've put a 1995 sbc 350 into 67 C10, with the HEI & ramhorn exhaust. Anybody know of a set of plug wires that actually fit without having to make your own? A brand and part # would be awesome. Can't seem to find anything that has correct lengths. Thanks

Re: plug wires

Late 70s Corvette wires will work.

Re: plug wires

OK. I'll give those a try. My engine builder ordered plugs for late 70's 350 with the hei setup, assuming they'd fit, but not working. Not sure if it's the HEI or exhaust manifolds that are creating the problem. Thank you

Re: plug wires

Late 70s Chevy cars and trucks won't work since they didn't use ramhorn manifolds. Only the Vettes were still using them.

Re: plug wires

75-78 or so Vette with 350 like the guy above said. The Vettes still used ramshorn manifolds and HEI. They fit very well. That's my standard wire set for one of these trucks with HEI.

I used these:

MSD #5566

I believe you can get them at Advance or Autozone too.

Re: plug wires

If you use Corvette wires, you have to route them like a Corvette.

Re: plug wires

Vettes routed the wires underneath the manifolds like trucks did. They fit and look like stock truck wires except the ends are HEI rather than points distributor type. Use the factory truck looms and everything.

55 GMC cross member

Hello.
I just joined this site and not familiar with the way to post a want ad.
But I have been trying for a year and a half to find a complete transmission cross member for my 55 GMC SUBURBAN. I Am using the 316 Pontiac engine with the hydramatic transmission. I would appreciate any help in finding one. Thanks

Re: plug wires

Well Barry... This forum has a lot of different areas to post up your questions and your wants.

Since you have a 55 GMC there is a specific forum here for that year and bodystyle.

http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...splay.php?f=13

There are also forums for classifieds, and WTB (want to buy) or WTS (want to sell) items.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...cat.php?cat=19

Look around... you'll find what ya need.

Good forum etiquette is to not "hijack" another persons thread to ask questions or make comments that do not pertain to the topic of the thread. :)

Take a gander at the forum rules again as well... lots of helpful info in there. :)
