Question about Cargo Lamp Gmc 1973

Hello ..

I have a question about the real size of the original button key place.I have a truck there is no key button and I want to do to open a new place.I want to correct measurements of the Gmc PICKUP 1973 ..

Is this is the right size?

That switch was used in both 73 and 74. I believe it changed in 75. Your measurements would be correct for those years.
