Can you replace the mechanical oil nipple on block?

Okay well i had to replace the old nylon oil hose , because itrubbed against the linkage and was spraying oil
I went to autozone and got their copper line kit, i disconnected everything, cut the line, put everything that needs to be on the line, screwed the long fitting first, then went to screw on the fitting to the engine block nipple? and it wont tighten snug, its on the thread i can feel it, but not snug, i think it may be stripped, can you replace these nipples, havent had a chance to look at it

Maybe it's a different thread. Pipe thread is different than the thread on a flare fitting

You have 2 different adaptors there. A male pipe to your tubing nut and a female pipe to your tubing nut. Use the one that fits on your motor.
