The K meaning in the VIN.

Doing a knowledge check. I know this answer and the fact it is spelled out for us in an LMC catalog, but I still need to ask. We have a 1969 4x4 SWB pick up. Cab with separate bed. The SPID, VIN Plate, frame and title have K in it, not C. Were there some trucks labeled in this way or was this vehicle originally a Blazer with the Blazer body? you help on this is much appreciated.
R/ Billy

Re: The K meaning in the VIN.

K indicates 4wd. C indicates 2wd. This was used for both trucks and Blazers

Heck yeah I do! It's great with beer. I've been told there's a street drug using the name, too. I think it's a horse tranquilizer (that oughta work!)

Did Liz tell you that or are you going by my behavior? (dang, can't even fool people on the interweb)

Really it's a bi-product of me being computer challenged (no comments,Deland). I had three '72 K-models when I joined (not including two Blazers out to pasture) and I named myself Super-K after the K/20 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper. I pictured the Special-K cereal logo done as Super-K. Got a new 'puter, got away from dial-up,ended up with a different e-mail,and couldn't figure out how to get on the site. All three trucks were pretty special being uniquely optioned so I grabbed Special-K real quick so I could log on and give someone crap for doing something stupid to their truck. Ok,that last part I just made up. But you prolly believed it :ito:

Yep. Ketamine. It's a legitimate drug that gets abused illicitly. On the streets around here they call it K-hole'n or Cat Valium. We have to take classes often just to keep up with new street drugs we come across.

Truth be told,I'm on oatmeal these days. I think Liz told me about that animal drug a few years after I started using this name. I considered asking to change back to Super-K,but when it comes down to it I don't give a hoot. My name's Tim and my coach in HS called me Tony for a few years. He had to know my real name, but I knew who he meant. Maybe I should change to Frosted Flakes. There's a "K" in there, too. Yep,they keep coming up with new ways to get dumb. I wouldn't expect what they call it to get any smarter.
