Are they the same.
Is there any real difference between a 1964 and 1966 C10? Picked up a '66 today for parts for my '64.
Thanks, Jay |
Re: Are they the same.
I think the only difference is the c10 emblems. But I could be wrong.

The 66 had back up lights but who needs those?

66 is a great year to harvest parts for your truck.

Windshield washer system was on the 66 as well.

Re: Are they the same.
Dash was painted dark fawn with a texturing agent, different steering wheels (deluxe and standard), different deluxe door panel paint scheme, the '66 water temp gauge had different graphics, the gauge bezel was silver instead of black, deluxe seat upholstery was different, kick panel tags had the 250 L6 added, first year for SPID's on glovebox door... can't think of anything else that hasn't been mentioned already.

The 153, 230, 292, 283 was offered in 64, the 194,230,250,292,283,327 was offered in 66. Hydromatic transmission, and emblems. Seat belts. I'll have to read up on more differances.

Re: Are they the same.
Early '64 A-arms weren't pre-drilled for the front anti-sway bar.
