Help with suspension

Ok I'm not real familiar with these trucks I have a 60 apache and I'm converting it to 5 lug and doing away with the torsion bar front....I have a 91 suburban that I can take the sub from and I was wondering since they look the same will this stub use same front end components as an 73-87 or are they different....need to know for ordering drop spindles because all I see is listed for 73-87.....any knowledge and help would be greatly appreciated

73-91Suburban have the same front suspension as the 73-87 trucks. Just measure the rotor thickness(1in or 1.25in) so you get the correct drop spindle.

Not saying this is 100 percent guaranteed, but I've never seen a Suburban suspension with the thin brake rotors.

Ive never measures burb rotors but I would also think they would all be 1.25in.

Agree. The JB3 system was not available on Suburban.

Not sure what you mean when you say "sub" or "stub" - since the Suburban has a full length frame.

Were you going to cut the front end off and just use what you need (like a Camaro sub frame)?

Yeah all you have to do is swap the crossmember and front suspension from the burb.
