air management

Has anyone tried to use compressed air cylinders to provide air for a system? Ws wondering how to get rid or the loud air compressors. I'm a diver and have access to a scuba fill tank. Thought this might be an alternative to the loud compressors.

It can be done, but you'll have to fill the tank often. I've seen lowriders use compressed nitrogen to run their aircylinders. Another thing that can be done is to convert a york a/c compressor to an air compressor and run it off of your engine. A lot of offroaders go that route. Fills your tank while your driving.
