I bet a lot of guys would like it to avoid the issues the electronic switches are known for

Ive never seen one of those but I think id rather have that kind of setup than the electric failure I have in mine

I'd say grab it. You might never want or need it, but you won't likely see another. Then again I'm a hoarder so...

I'll shoot ya over $50. bucks for it. If it's complete with valve. Mine is getting a little sticky. Thanks

Small world. My '74 is the same color, and has the same valve.

I believe that's a 74 only part. I've come across 2 of them in the past. Both on 74's.

They come up on here periodically. It was an early 70's thing for sure!

First time for me also. But think it would be better then the newer ones. I like it.As said abouve, least amount of problems I would think. Even if you only use one tank, I would still keep it on the truck. MO

It's seized but I'm not sure if that's from the cable or valve. It's on a 73-74 gmc Sierra 1500. We already grabbed the flat emblems and grill. Has a nice nice interior. Sun has had it's way with it and so has rust but its all there. I also grabbed the GMC tailgate letters.

Re: Should I salvage this?

Hell yes grab it. It is for 454 powered dual tank trucks. Early early...I am surprised someone has a '75 with it, I thought it was '73/'74 only, guess not.

My 75 BB 1/2 ton has one as well. I have had alot less problems with it in the past 15 years vs. the electric in my 76 3/4 ton I've had for a year.
