Daily driver build in progress
1 Attachment(s)
So Every time I start on a new project I say I'm gonna start a build thread but always get caught up in the work and never take pictures. Well this time is no different and I forgot to take pics of the tear down and the replacement of the floors and rockers. Bought it with a blown motor and some of the filthiest interior I've seen lately but I got it for cheap, floors and rockers were shot, I basically bought it to learn sheet metal repair on and have decided to turn her into a daily driver project. So here's where I'm at with it now with the mock up of my 2008 trail blazer ss seats, I'll try to keep it somewhat up to date from here on out.

No before shots but here's a after shot of the pass side floor. By time I cut all the rust out you could walk straight into the truck up to the trans hump, drivers side was the same. It ain't pretty but it works

Didn't think the white dash was fitting for what I have planned so I'm going to spray it black

Re: Daily driver build in progress
Those seats look great. Good progress. Are you doing a color change?
|
Re: Daily driver build in progress
Yes the exterior will be either a silver or grey and on the interior I'm going to have the charcole grey seats and trim with black carpet and lower dash. Still have not figured out what I want to do with the inside of the cap, it's white now which doesn't go with my color scheme but I think if I just spray paint it that it will not look right.

Re: Daily driver build in progress
Rattle can would actually work OK for that color. The tops were either matte black or matte white from the factory. If you are going black you could use something like BBQ grill black and be fine on the inside.
