Wilbur the 1963 c10, "build" thread

I put build in " " bc its pretty stock and going to stay that way appearance wise. I figured i should post some pics as others build theads have been most informative. Maybe mine can help someone else.
Here is Wilbur. Btw its Wilbur bc the name Wilbur Putnam, is painted kn the side of the truck for DOT purposes. Under the name it says Cainsville, MO and then 6000 ---L might not be dashes but it is so weathered its hard to tell. I know this as GVW i.e. gross vehicle weight in WI. Interestingly enough it has another name on both top rails of the bed, this one is Pat Perkins, Princeton, MO if anyone know the truck, i would love to know more anoutit or its previous owners, i think, lol. |

Headlight harness. U can see in this pick at one point the red wire was really the "hot" wire. Interesting it basically just bured that wire out of the pretty red coating. Thankful it finally shorted itseld on something. I actually think this is why the truck was taken out of service in 1992, lol. Good to be me, i hooe the guy enjoyed new truck as much as i am enjoyimg his old one. He took good care of it by the looks of the grease points he greased it daily. Tierod and ball joints where at least double thier size bc of all the grease.
