Lug conversion

I am building my truck with a engine I have, but it needs a cam change with a re-gasket. So I am thinking of doing up the suspension to be a bit more fitting to the new engine. Such as dropping it, and fitting 20's. The engine will be close to 425hp for reference.

I have a C20 with obviously 8 lugs, and my thoughts need to convert it to roughly 5x4.75 to fit the rims I am looking at. The likely rims are BMW 7 Series 20's as they are cheap in my area.

Can I fill, and drill the rotors for 5x4.75 that way I can keep the C20's factory big brakes.

The truck that got me thinking on this trip.

Re: Lug conversion

Nope, you may be able to find some spacers though.

You would be better off converting to factory 5x5 and getting some nice aftermarket wheels. You will have a ton of money in having 100% custom wheel adapters made and then still have issues with backspacing. The BMW uses a 5x120 which is 5x4.72 wheel studs must be exact if its only 1 mm off when you torque the nuts it bends the studs and breaks them off. Had a customer with wrong lug pattern wheels couldn't figure why he kept having to replace studs and it was 1mm off on the lug pattern
