Breaks

I parked my truck after driving it and everything working fine. The next day I go to drive it and no breaks what so ever, pedal goes straight to the floor? I have a 1970 Chevy C10. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks, Brian

Re: Breaks

bad master cylinder or a bad leak ruptured brake lines cause no brakes problem

Re: Breaks

Is there a puddle on the ground? Start with the fluid level in the MS and trace the lines for a leak.

What they said.

I vote for bad master cylinder, but more checking is necessary.

Thank you rsavage....

Check the master cylinder, make sure it is full. If not look for signs of leakage from behind the master cylinder. It is possible a brake line rusted and ruptured, or possibly a brake cylinder came apart. Thank God it happened while parked and not while you were driving it.
