Breaks
I parked my truck after driving it and everything working fine. The next day I go to drive it and no breaks what so ever, pedal goes straight to the floor? I have a 1970 Chevy C10. Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks, Brian |
Re: Breaks
bad master cylinder or a bad leak ruptured brake lines cause no brakes problem

Re: Breaks
Is there a puddle on the ground? Start with the fluid level in the MS and trace the lines for a leak.

Re: Breaks
What they said.
I vote for bad master cylinder, but more checking is necessary. |
Re: Breaks
You could have a BREAK in your BRAKE line:)

Thank you rsavage.... Check the master cylinder, make sure it is full. If not look for signs of leakage from behind the master cylinder. It is possible a brake line rusted and ruptured, or possibly a brake cylinder came apart. Thank God it happened while parked and not while you were driving it. |
