I have a chev sb in the truck, with a 4 speed and want headers that will work with this set up. Any out there. Its lowered so Long tubes are close to ground but work. I just cant seem to find any that will work with the straight drive. Any ideas, suggestions??? thanks Mike

Re: 68 c-10 swb_headers???
I am using ss block huggers. They dump out about 6" from the top of the crossmember it is a pain in the butt to hook up the collector but it can be done by a good exhaust shop I am running 2-1/4" pipe all the way back to Jeg's chambered mufflers. I ordered my headers off of ebay I think they cost around $110 shipped I will try to get some pictures of them this weekend since we are going to have it on the lift to do a rear gear swap and cam swap.

Long tubes are definitely the way to go for performance. If you can't get long tubes, I'd just run a set of the old ram horns.

Re: 68 c-10 swb_headers???
Well I have long tubes now, old and beat up. Nowhere can I find headers that fit the strt drv trucks or that claim they will fit. I dont even see shorties listed for a manual truck. What to do,???

Re: 68 c-10 swb_headers???
I bought these for my truck: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/su...del/c10-pickup
They fit pretty good. I had to modify the z-bar a little bit, but otherwise no issues. Pretty sure these are Summit rebranded Flowtechs. |
