Cant Find Replacement 4x4 Spindle Bolts
I am rebuilding the front end of my 72 GMC 4x4 after it was in an accident. The driver side wheel hub assembly has broken off at the bolts on the spindle. I have hammered out the broken ones back into behind the spindle and I cannot find replacement spindle bolts. These are the bolts that bolt up the the wheel assembly. Does anyone know where I can find replacement bolts? I've looked at all the major autoparts stores and they can't find them. One person told me the dealer can get them. Haven't tried them yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Junk Yard or look on ebay for guys that sell a lot of D44 parts and shoot them a email.

Re: Cant Find Replacement 4x4 Spindle Bolts
You should post this in the 4X4 section and probably get more help. plus posting a pic of what front end you have helps too.. Assuming a D44-5f by the year.
Is your front end like this?? http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/images...ers_Dana44.GIF The Spindle (73) mounts to the knuckle (42) via studs. Not sure why the bolts are special at this point but try a hardware store? Or a 4X4 place that specializes on whatever model front end you have, try Googling 44-5f knuckle bolts and see what you get. |
