Edelbrock Carb 1406 Binding
Hey guys,
Upon setting up the carb I noticed at full throttle the secondary valves were not opening. You have to manually actuate the secondary values by either pushing down on the choke linkage on the right side of the carb, or pulling up on the inner most bracket to free the secondary valve tab. Has anyone dealt with or had experience with this issue? The part circled in blue is the choke linkage. Part circled in red is the tab we were pressing to actuate the secondary valves, which is reacted on when the choke valve is completely opened. http://i1048.photobucket.com/albums/...ps74f1bdd8.jpg |

I could be wrong, but i believe, they are set to where when the choke is on, the secondary are locked out. And aren't the 1406 a vacuum secondary unit?

Re: Edelbrock Carb 1406 Binding
I just figured out what was going on with it.
With it being an electric choke I wasn't thinking until you had suggested it, that I won't be able to have WOT until my carb or truck has warmed up and so my friend called his dad and we confirmed that's how it works indeed. |
