New Truck

So a couple of months ago I made a really tough decision to sell my 68' short bed, and to look for something newer to use as my daily driver. Once I had sold my truck the search began. I found many promising trucks but they were either already sold or I could not contact the seller. So I just started searching Craigslist to see what I could come across for a good driver. Nothing grabbed me until I found this.....The stained area underneath is from my last truck, the power steering leaked.

It appears to be a very basic "farm truck" no rust that I can find and has been an AZ truck it's whole life. It currently has a 350/th350 and the only thing I have done is replaced the Quadrajet with an Edelbrock, and bolted on a muffle to get it through emissions. Next, I purchased some new shocks and Hotchkis lowering springs that will be going in soon.

Then do a 5 lug conversion, and transmission up date to a 700r4.

So, with the new truck I have new questions. Everyone on here has been very helpful in the past and I look forward to talking to you all. What can you tell me about this? or is there a cyfer some were on the board?

Thanks everyone!

Well it was a 6 cyl 2sp auto truck and about the only option was a posi. It doesn't seem like you have to worry about a power steering leak on this one[just yet]. That is unless the pump is so low I cant see it. Good find great plans. Jim

Yep, a nice start to your project I'd say. Interesting combo: I6 with a posi. I guess I've just never seen that before.

The first thing on the to-do list is to get those f@#! mirrors off of there!!:lol:

Congrats on a great find....patients pays, it appears.
