My Winter Build 54 Chevy 1300
I have a 54 I will be removing from the original frame and mount it onto a purchased Frame.
The frame I ordered has a mustang 2 front end, Rear end will be a Ford 9" with 350 posi. With 4 link. Brakes are Wildwood 12" all the way around. Truck is also Bagged front and rear. Motor and trans came out of a 88 chev 1/2 ton. 350 with a 700r4. Trans is out for a rebuild getting built to handle 500 hp and 5oo tq 1800 stall. Motor is getting the 383 treatment. |

Re: My Winter Build 54 Chevy 1300
Very nice, is that the TCI frame, looks like their new front-end setup. Like the way your going with this, top of the line stuff...Jim

Re: My Winter Build 54 Chevy 1300
Yes it.is.the TCI frame. I looked.around. they have fixed.all previous issues. Fit on the parts is perfect.
Tranny is back from rebuild as is the.motor. My plan is to.complete the drive train then start on the body. More pictures and work when I get back from a short holiday. Home on Thursday |
Re: My Winter Build 54 Chevy 1300
Any more progress on this?

Re: My Winter Build 54 Chevy 1300
I am back from a quick holiday. I picked up the motor and trans. Painted the the trans, and front spindles. installed the spindles, rotors and brake calipers.
Today I am assembling the rear 4 link, and maybe attach motor to trans and set it into the frame. should be a busy day. |

Well I was able to assemble the rear end today. The coating made the assembly tough. Had to clean all the threads on the linkages, then assemble.
Had a football game to watch also ( GO Riders) |
