I am rounding up parts for my son's truck listed in my sig, any recomendations for the best place to get the replacement rear motor mounts that bolt to the bell housing?

I used front and rear Anchor Motor mounts from OReilly. If yers is a 6 and ya need part numbers, I should have em, holler.

The motor mounts are the same regardless of the engine or bellhousing they are bolted to.

A while back someone else was asking for help to find the bellhousing mounts. I didn't have any luck finding them on O'Reilly's or NAPA's website. I did find them at Classic Parts though.

Re: rear motor mounts

Oreilly Auto Parts: Anchor Brand. I used the following part numbers for My 65 I6 and 3 speed.

Anchor 2107 Left and Right Upper rear motor/trans mounts, 2 each at $5.99 per. And, Anchor 2108, Left and Right Lower rear motor/trans mounts, 2 each at $3.99 per. And no freight fees. (I believe the Westar part numbers are EM-2107 and EM-2108 at about the same prices available variously on the innerweb).

New front mounts at Oreillies, $6.99 each - Anchor 2282 get two (one for left one for right they are interchangeable though it's labeled on the sight as left side......prolly cause 292 has a different right mount out front and may take a different right front rubber insert but 230/250 are same on both sides......) Made in America. Only $2.99 from Rock Auto but $40eleven to ship and a 27 year wait for delivery...so.....

Enjoy. See the John Lee Jr Thread for install - just search motor mounts once yer in the thread or go direct to post 186 and post 282. It was a wiggle festival getting the rears in and the fronts are gonna require some bench assembly due to hidden bolts as you go. There was a slight difference between new and old on the front ones, but they work fine.

But if the engine/bell housing is out, then it should go much easier for ya.

(The rear mounts won't come up on an Oreillies parts search till ya actually search on the part number....otherwise the orellies data base thinks they don't carry rear motor mounts for these trucks. Just bring em up and either order via mail or make your printable list so the counter geek can scan the bar code and get them in for ya.)

Re: rear motor mounts

Updated and inserted linkes to the parts at Oreillies for ya.

They are a bit cheeper locally I think. Stores in my area had em in stock so they delivered em free to my local outlet in about 4 hours.

Sharps40 Thanks again for the info looked up the #'s you gave me online they were still valid, but didnt want to pay shipping so called the local store and they said they will have them for me this afternoon at 4. Will post pics when I get them it will be next month, when the boy is here to work on his truck before they go in, but glad i can still get old truck parts locally.

Re: rear motor mounts

Orellies is great. Their finder and parts database on line don't even list all the stuff they have. If you have a part #, like the rear mounts (that both the on line and counter computers will say we ain't got it), plug it in their site, make a printable list with bar codes, go to counter boy and say, "Scan, order", if its in the state you usually have it that day....warehouse maybe a week.

Make damn sure counterboy checks all local stores first (you can do it too from home and then have em get it for ya)....free delivery that day or next day. Warehouse can cost ya some shipping.

Luck to ya as ya wiggle em in.
