Need help with lowering and wheels size etc.
I finally have the money to buy my rims, tires and lowering supplies. Heres what my truck looks like. Its a 72 LWB custom deluxe, 2wd, 3 spd. On the floor. I have the original stock rallies with beauty rings, an old set of american racing aluminum wheels on it now, factory stance. The rear higher then front. Ive been seeing many nice set ups on here. Really I want to make the truck stance level. The wheels are to be american racing torq thrust IIs. Ive been thinking of size eighteen rims possibly wider in the back. I dont want air ride. I just want a comfortable everyday ride with a level stance and slick chrome wheels! Here is a picture of the a trick I found online that is what I want mine to look like.

Re: Need help with lowering and wheels size etc.
My guess is size 18 wheels with 4 inches taken from the front and 2 in the front? Drop spindles? I doubt it. Tires i have no clue for size. Im shopping summit for my wheels so links can be provided or offered and are appreciated ;)

Re: Need help with lowering and wheels size etc.
Ive done some online shopping. I got 2 18x8 inch torque thrust rims, 2 18x9.5 rear rims and then cooper tires size 265/60r18 for the front and 265/70 r18 for the rear. A pair of mcgqughys 5" drop coil springs for the rear. Would this mean I need to drop the front? Does the tire size seem like it would look good and ride decent?

Re: Need help with lowering and wheels size etc.
with a 5in drop spring in the back i would go with 3in drop spindles in the front or 2.5in spindles and a 1in spring the size tires you picked would give you a taller side wall in the rear with the same width front and BACK. personally if the plan is to level it out i would go with a skinnier tire in the front and wider in the rear with a similar height.
