Warped rotors '95 GMC Sierra 1/2-ton

Has anyone dealt with upgrading the extremely prone to warping front brakes on one of these trucks? The '05 GMC 1/2-ton has 13-inch rotors, and the '05 Chevy has 12-inch. I don't want to put the same GM junk back on it, what are the options?

Thanks

Baer? CCP? Wilwood? No Limit? Places to start, anyway. Congrats on the new gig!

all rotors warp with usage(heat).. even the expensive ones...

rotors are what 25-30 buck a piece at the part store... i replace them every brake change... granted i drive mostly highway miles... but when i lived in chicago my daily commute was 2 hours each way in stop and go expressway traffic... 2 hours to drive 12-14 miles during morning and afternoon rush. i put 60k miles on the initial set of brakes /rotors on my suburban.

make sure you are using ceramic pads...

also there are some composit rotors but they are very costly

Yeah, you're right. I can't do in Classic Trucks, but Truckin owes me a favor from when I was editor of Custom Classic Trucks. Who knows, maybe I can research this thing out a little better and see if Truckin wants it for a tech

I know Special-Ed said all rotors warp, but I haven't had this problem on any of my other old trucks, just this one I bought brand-new.

Thanks,

John
