Warped rotors '95 GMC Sierra 1/2-ton
Has anyone dealt with upgrading the extremely prone to warping front brakes on one of these trucks? The '05 GMC 1/2-ton has 13-inch rotors, and the '05 Chevy has 12-inch. I don't want to put the same GM junk back on it, what are the options?
Thanks |

Baer? CCP? Wilwood? No Limit? Places to start, anyway. Congrats on the new gig!

Re: Warped rotors '95 GMC Sierra 1/2-ton
all rotors warp with usage(heat).. even the expensive ones...
rotors are what 25-30 buck a piece at the part store... i replace them every brake change... granted i drive mostly highway miles... but when i lived in chicago my daily commute was 2 hours each way in stop and go expressway traffic... 2 hours to drive 12-14 miles during morning and afternoon rush. i put 60k miles on the initial set of brakes /rotors on my suburban. make sure you are using ceramic pads... also there are some composit rotors but they are very costly |

I know Special-Ed said all rotors warp, but I haven't had this problem on any of my other old trucks, just this one I bought brand-new. Thanks, John |
