Option sheet quetion...

When Cheese wagon was here, I was looking at his rig and noticed a couple things on the option sheet.
First, I am not sure if anyone has confirmed his or not...I remember Fast68 asking about it, but it seems the TH350 and the TH400 both fall under the M49 option...which makes me wonder even more about the short shaft TH350 that was in Longhorn #1.
Also, the question part, has anyone seen an option sheet that had an astric ( * ) posted beside an option? It was shown plain as day directly beside;
M49 Hydromatic transmission *
Interesting deal, just wondering if anyone has an answer as to WHY?:confused:

Hmmm, now I wonder if the astric stands for TH350.

That is correct. I've found the 400 more often than not in 3/4 tons and always behind a BB.

CPNE, are you saying that you HAVE seen an original Th350 in a 3/4 ton?
I swear that short shaft Th350 that was in longhorn #1 looked original, but everyone tells me hat they didn't build 3/4 ton trucks with that tranny.

CPNE 07-15-2003 04:22 PM

Yes, in at least two. Both were 72 2wd 3/4 tons. One came complete with all docs including the dealer order form. Sorry, I don't have those goodies now.

My 72 3/4 ton 4x4 suburban is a TH350 as well as were 2 other 3/4 ton 4x4's I parted out.

Cool, i have always thought that was too clean an instilation to not be stock.
