Brake fluid pushing out the master cylinder

Well I've been working on my 89 burb 2500 4wd and the front brakes are not functioning properly. When I hit the brakes with the master cylinder cover removed you can see a jet of fluid that shoots upward. So if I'm driving the burb fluid will get past the cover gasket and drop onto the exhaust. I have tried bleeding the front brakes and I did get a few air bubbles out but the problem still persists and I need to use this vehicle the day after tomorrow. Any input helps

Oh yea the jet of fluid comes from the front, larger fluid resevoir

Re: Brake fluid pushing out the master cylinder

Sounds normal except the leak.

Clean the gasket mating surface on the MC, and clean or replace the rubber part in the cover that seals to the MC.

So it's normal for the brake fluid to shoot upward in the master cylinder like that?
