Need Tire Sizing Help...Thanks!!!
 

Ordered tires and rims for rear of truck. Rear tires are 30'' x 12''R x 15''LT . Wondering what a good look for the front will be. Gonna stay with a 15 inch of course. Want something safe, that can be driven around easily, and that will not compromise braking.. but still looks aggressive and "hot roddy"

Wanting aggressive stance. Front already dropped little below front tires.

since you are running LT's on the rear, are you going to be hauling/towing? 235/70/R15 looks good up front but, not LT

If you can find the equivalent size in numbers given for passenger cars... its an easy calculation to get a close size to what you want. Eg - the rear tires for my project are P295/50/15 (295 is 29.5 cm across the tread, 50 represents sidewall height measured from the edge of rim to the tread, being 50% of tread width in my case... and 15 being rim size of course) So if you know the width of the tire you'd like on the front you can calculate to get the equivalent sidewall height ...or play with it a little. I wanted the sidewalls to be the same height front and back on my project. I also wanted P245 tires on the front. Sooo...295 X .5 (50%)= 147.5. (sidewall height of rear).. Take 147.5 divided by 245(my front tire width)= .602 X 100 = 60. So a P245/60/15 will have a very close sidewall/overall height to match the rear tires.

Edit- They also express these numbers in LT.. eg LT235/75/15. Same representation

I've got 31x10.5xR15LT on the back and 235/75 R15s on the front. doesn't look too bad. need new rims though since I can't stand the ones I've got. Looking at the Crager deluxe 69s.. pretty sweet!

It will give a good idea of overall height and width without all the complicated math.

I also use tirerack.com's shop by size to see what sizes are possible, popular, and cheapest for my end goal. Just change the rim size to 15 and see the possibilities. You can also click on a tire and it's specs to see what the manufacturer says for height, width, and recommended wheel width.

Got the Vintique series 64 with push thru cap. Looks sweeeet..thinking about a 175 - 205 on the front. not sure..
