1966 Fleetside Bed Wood

I have a 66 fleetside that I am installing new bed wood. In the rear, the two outboard wood panels (approx 24 inches) have a notch cut out. Does anyone know the dimensions of said notch. Mar-k, the other web sites, nor my build book show this cut-out. Thanks in advance.

Just take that board, put it up against the inside of the bed, and make a mark with a Sharpie for your long cut. Then, take the same board, and move it to the end of the bed, with the notch area next to it. Mark again. Square up your marks, cut with a jigsaw. Worked for me!

I think it is 2x2. I just did minie but have already forgotten the size. lol It is the same front to back and side to side if I remember correctly. So its a square peice you will be cutting out if that makes sense.
