Re: Console restomod
Man that looks good. I just got one myself that i need to repaint as well. Can you share your process on the cleaning, prep an paint? Ive been searching like crazy but can't find a good write up.....

Re: Console restomod
Cleaning was a combo of acetone, sand paper, and Medea blast with soda. The console is fiberglass so prep for paint similar to a car, minus the block sanding unless thats a look you want (smooth). I did use SEM vinyl dye, but only because they have colors that match factory so well. Any spray or commercial car paint will work fine. Unless you are concerned about factory texture, there is nothing on these things that can't be made new again with a little patience and some fiberglass and sandpaper. It's a nice winter project in the kitchen when the garage is below zero for days on end.
