Gauge cluster refresh - pic
1 Attachment(s)
So over the xmas break I finally finished refreshing my gauge cluster.
I took it apart, and cleaned the gauges, repainted them, and added a clock to the display where the brake light was. I also replaced all the bulbs with high intensity LEDs and they work great at night. What do you think? |
Re: Gauge cluster refresh - pic
Looks great, doing the same right now myself

On my to-do list.
Which lamps did you use and was there a significant increase in illumination? Do they dim? |

Did you repaint the inner shell !!!!

Re: Gauge cluster refresh - pic
You mean painting it like a reflective silver? No I did not. I was afraid with the LEDs it would be too bright

makes quite a difference eh , I went white paint + stock bulbs added a second colour too,red |
Re: Gauge cluster refresh - pic
I painted the inside of the gauge shell with gloss white paint, and it's bright! Like it's readable at night now with just the stock bulbs. Amazing.

Re: Gauge cluster refresh - pic
I'm going to do the same with my 75 cluster but I might try to put a lmc tach in also. I cant wait for brighter lights!
