just a ponder....had too much time to think here lately
so i got a 84 k10, really thinking of doing the ls swap in it, but looking around i was looking at efi live and a couple other kits, how do this compare on a stock or basically stock 350? helped fuel economy? etc....

Re: just a ponder....had too much time to think here lately
efilive is a tuning software for gm pcms like ls engines and duramaxes idk what you mean really? if your talking about efi kits for a 350 you have the options of tbi or mpfi kits. the tbi is going to be similar to whats on a 87-95 truck the mpfi will be like the 96-00 vortecs. cost wise your spending about as much as the ls swap for one of these kits and a lsx makes more power in most applications. a stock efi setup added to the 350 or a whole efi engine swapped is the best dollar for dollar.

so in short, stick to my original plan and do the full ls swap?

Re: just a ponder....had too much time to think here lately
Pretty much. If you just want fuel injection go tbi. If u want actual gains in "power and economy" go ls. Lots of people have swapped ls motors now and easily getting 20's mpg. I had an s10 withone stuffed in there. Been a few years but got 25 mpg all dayhot-rodding. Honestly i sold it because it scared me that bad.

Slow down. Mine was fun but that's it really. Not very practical. Just giving it gas off the line and it was spinning. Also mine had a few... Goodies ;)
