Got the front axle bolted in but the rear axle perch seems to be to short to reach the springs on one side. Has anyone run into this problem O r can someone give me some advise how to fix this?

HOW much short is it, are the rear springs the same one side looks old and one side looks new or painted might be one side is flexed more than other.. might be in the arch of springs..

Re: 65 chevy swb with 4x4 72 axles
When I mount the springs in the hangers and raised the rearend up to the springs to align with the perches when I get one side on the perch the other side is 3/4" off from reaching the spring its like the rearend is too short.

Re: 65 chevy swb with 4x4 72 axles
loosen up the front and rear spring hanger bolts on both springs, this will give the springs some wiggle room, line up the perches and tighten down all ubolts then tighten up hanger bolts. its worked for me many times, hope this helps.
