Re: Jimmy the rat
I have more pics to put up, some of the work I've already done is drop springs and drop spindles, disc brakes on front. Flip kit and c- notch for rear( about six inches). I have a mildly warmed up 350 to go in it, Saginaw 4 speed and twelve bolt 3:08 with Detroit locker

Like the trim around the door glass.
Looks like you have a solid foundation for starting the truck build. I'll stay tuned. |

Re: Jimmy the rat
Thanks Don for posting the picture of my truck for me, and thanks to the rest for the comments. I have had this old GMC for about three years and after having the cab corners fixed floor board repaired and gas cap hole filled in along with other minor body repairs, it went in the back burner for a while. It will never be as nice as some of the awesome trucks I've been drooling over on this forum, but this " rat" looking style is what I have had in mind for it every since I got it. I'm having fun working on it and watch it slowly come together just like I had it pictured. That last photo is as far as I have gone so far. Working on engine now, next will be putting wood in bed( thinking about cypress for that). I really enjoy seeing everyone's trucks on here and have picked up some great ideas.
