Best price and quality for inner fenders?
Any place better than another? I'm wondering if I'm prolly just gonna get the same chinese junk no matter who the supplier is. Shipping is gonna be a hit I won't like. I need to do these come spring. Mine are beyond shot. Right is worse than the left, so bad in fact I had to relocate my battery to the left side.

I got mine from lmc. At like 30 bucks a pop before shipping figured what the hell why not? Fit is ok. They are thin though. I can't complain really...

Re: Best price and quality for inner fenders?
I picked up a set from certifit for my K5. They were fairly cheap and I painted them with bedliner. I will actually try to intall them in about a month so I can let you know if they fit.
The store is on Burnham st in Milwaukee. classic industries will deliver parts to jefferson, you get a 10 percent show discount and dont have to pay shipping. |
Re: Best price and quality for inner fenders?
what year are you looking for? i have a set of 73-80 that was told they were takeoffs and stored for quite a few years and are in extremely good condition that i was mistakenly told they were for a 1987. i would get rid of..
couldnt find any part numbers on them anywhere tho to confirm they are factory but are heavier grade steel than what reproduction ones i ended up with... ... |

Re: Best price and quality for inner fenders?
I ordered mine 2 years ago so that might explain the price difference :/

The bad part is shipping is $88. I need a left side but hate to pay that kind of shipping. |
Re: Best price and quality for inner fenders?
IMO russgt is on it. I found the local supplier for crash parts and got it from them (in my former area it was Keystone.) Yes, they were Chinese, but for all I know, it may have been a Pinto in a former life.
I just scuffed them up and shot them in epoxy. Looked good after a couple years, until I sold the truck. |

$88 is the cheapest shipping to Louisiana from Rock Auto via ground.. Its like $400 if you want it overnight. Jegs,Summit, and pretty much everyone else is at least $80 shipping. |
Re: Best price and quality for inner fenders?
Do you deal with any bodyshops in your area? If so then ask who they buy from. Thats what I ended up doing. There ended up being a local place about 25 miles from me that sold keystone and goodmark parts. They are thinner than factory but I really would be suprised if anyone made then to factory gauge.

Re: Best price and quality for inner fenders?
Around here the auto parts stores sell that stuff and they probably get a better deal on shipping. One of my local stores has two different sources for them, a cheaper one and a supposedly better one. Might as well price your local sources first.
