54ish hood
 

Hi i have a 54ish pickup had no hood found a hood and it has about a 3" gap between it and the fenders are the 3 4 5 hoods different?

As far as I know as long as it's not 1 1/2 ton or larger it should be the same. Anyone?

The 1 1/2-2 ton hoods will have this gap and come to a point at the rear. Where as the 1/2-1 ton hoods are rounded off at the rear.

It is easy to see in these pictures how the big truck fenders and hood differ from the 1/2 ton.

It probably fits like this

That means the hood is off a 1-1/2 ton or larger truck

The hood you need has the rounded back corners on it like this

I haven't figured out how to cut the red hood down to fit my 48 yet but like the more sloped angle of it.

Damn I wish you were a little closer I may take that hood off your hands! You see my truck is sectioned 2.5 inches and I will need to section the hood those 2.5 inches, that damn big truck hood looks like a much better start than the 1/2 ton hood! I need to hunt one down, I didn't know there was such a difference!
