Budweiser cooler rebuild help
1 Attachment(s)
I am rebuilding an old cooler for my brother in law and the bottom is rusted out. I started cutting out the bad and it just keeps showing up. I think i will replace the whole bottom.
The questions I have for you is what is a good way to get the curves and not just have them square? Guy at work suggested fiberglassing it but that doesn't seem like it would hold up very well. Thanks |

Maybe you could cut a piece of mandrel bent tubing or something for the corners. Just a thought.

Re: Budweiser cooler rebuild help
Magna bend using a piece of round stock.... You could accomplish similar by clamping a pipe across your flat stock on the edge of work bench and bending the sheet around the pipe... then just make corners and weld them in separate.

You don't have a lot of height that is needed, so the corners would not be that hard to form over a rounded post anvil. Here is a video of a similar operation, although a much smaller scale. The theory is the same, however... http://s5.photobucket.com/user/rmcca...eo158.mp4.html Please excuse my lack of camera location awareness, my first feature film... |
