front end question

I have a 69 short bed and I have replaced everything in the front end except upper and lower control arm bushings. my problem is truck road walks on me, do you think new bushings could fix this issue. thanks in advance

Re: front end question

Likely yes. But tires will also cause this. Check your tires real well for belt separation.

Re: front end question

You will also need to have it aligned. If the alignment is off it will walk and dart all over the road

First let me say welcome to the board!'
Have you had the front end alignment checked after you changed all the parts? Even if it was close before you now have removed any slack in the steering linkage, It will need to be re aligned to be correct.
also check the steering gear box for any excess slack.
Good luck

Is your truck stock height or has it been lowered? If lowered, how was it done?

Re: front end question

Lets see that alignment print out! Toe will make that thing steer all over the place especially when there are errors in the pavement. It will follow every bad spot in the road. Seems every since I got into throwing down on GREAT alignments for these trucks every truck has left the rack with a lot to be desired and little to show for the money spent.
If nothing else, show us how bad those bushings are.

Re: front end question

The upper and lower bushings on these trucks are STEEL. So if there is any slop what so ever there will be no way to get the alignment correct. The bushings are not that hard to change. you can do it.... We can help
