1967 cab floor installation
 

I just bought a complete cab floor to replace my rusted floor. There are angle brackets that are welded to the back of the cab wall to bolt the floor to and the body mount bolt thread is on the angle bracket. When I got the new floor the body mount bolt thread is welded to the new floor and is in the way and won't allow the floor to mount flush to the angle bracket. Also, the new floor is missing the holes for the other two bolts that bolt it to the angle bracket. Has anyone ran into this? If so, what did you do? The pic shows the angle bracket I am talking about.

The angle bracket was not used on all years, only 67-68 I think. I would remove the captured nut from the new pan and keep the bracket from the original cab if it is not rusty.

Thanks. So in the later years did the floor not bolt to the back cab wall? I recently had about 6 of these cabs from all years and it didn't even cross my mind to look.

With that bracket spot welded to the back wall it will define the height to attach the rear floor and you will need to drill the other two holes then spot weld (or plug weld) across the bottom of the back wall to the floor. I assume it was there for alignment during assembly and as reinforcement. I guess it was removed as a cost reduction. Just a little speculation there..

There are several cab differences although minor, so the cab floor is made somewhat like the later version. There at least two different manufacturers of the full floor too. You probably noticed the floor does not have holes for the gas pedal studs either as the 71-72 used a different gas pedal.
