80 s Monte Carlo center counsel in a square?
Ive got a 73 with a t56 and bucket seats the shifter sits too far back for a factory counsol to.fit. but it feels good.so im not moving it.. I was thinking about trying a monte carlo center counsol in it and trying to transition it smoothly into the bottom of tge dash near the ash tray and maybe mount a radio in it under the dash. Has anyone done this what are your honest thoughts on how it'd look?

for a more appropriately sized console and being squarish in design, I think a GP console 78-86 would fit nicely. The body of those consoles are wider and would look more at home in the larger cabin of a square imo. If you look for an 81-up console, the woodgrain pattern on the bezels would be a close match to your 73 woodgrain as well.

Not a monte carlo console, but here's a couple pics of mine with a first gen camaro console. Not familiar with what the monte came with, but maybe will help give you an idea.

The Camaro console works nicely in there, but you really need to ditch the column shifter ;)
