Will SEM vinyl dye work on door panels?
 

I have some custom ordered SEM for vinyl, will it work on the door panels?

I think you need to put some kinda undercoat to strengthen it. Don't quote me though

Yes, I used SEM Color Coat on the door panels (and other interior parts) in Dad's '77 with great results.

The door panels are made of polypropylene plastic so after giving them a good through cleaning and letting them dry, I sprayed them with SEM #39863 Plastic Adhesion Promoter before spraying the Color Coat.

SEM paint is great.

Clean the panels very very well, then I clean with TSP, then use their adhesion promoter, then paint with color coat.

Yeah sem will stick to anything if its been cleaned right.
