rubber door seal on cab install help

Bought new door seals (the seal on the cab that seals the door to cab)
and got the old rubber and glue cleaned off and was curious if there
Was a trick to installing the the new ones and what I should use to glue it on. Was thinking 3m emblem adhesive?

Re: rubber door seal on cab install help

Most use the 3M weatherstip adhesive. I think there are a few other products that work well (one I think is a Ford product) but don't recall the name. Use some rubbing alcohol or wax/grease remover to make sure the surface is free of any oils.

Grab a roll of painters tape (blue stuff) and I like to put some adhesive in the groove and start along the top. Slide it over the flange, use a bunch of tape to hold in place and then work your way around, doing about a foot at a time. This way you don't have a bunch of adhesive in the loose area while you're working around, getting this stuff all over the place. It does help if you have a second set of hands.

Good luck.
