Replace roof or repair
 

I have rust about 15" long above each door and around the front of the cab. Do I need to replace the skin or cut out rust and weld in new patches? Here's some pics.

That's a tough repair. I would try to find another cab or roof.

Mine was so bad, I bought a donor truck to replace the cab.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking replace roof skin. I saw your roof replace burb that was nice. I ordered spot weld cutter and will start taking roof off as soon as the snow melts. I have 2 trucks maybe I can use both to make one good one.

I don't ever buy anything from harbor freight except there spot weld cutters. They are 5.00 and you will go through 2 or 3 but the cutter is the right diameter.

Is it a 3/8 or 5/16 cutter?

please take pictures i have to take my cab top skin also bought the spot weld cutter

I ran across this truck and the cab looks to be in good shape so I am thinking I will use it instead of the roof repair. Thanks for all the input. Here is my new cab it's a BBW also.

Nice, much easier to do a cab swap. I welded mine back on.

The roof was just the beginning on my red cab. The floor was in bad shape and the rockers were gone. Looks like yours turned out nice.
