Best pins and bushings?
Is there anywhere to get quality pins and bushings for 67-72's anymore. I need and dont want LMC I dont think

Re: Best pins and bushings?
Classic Industries has them for $6.99/set vs. $9.95 at LMC. You can also get 15% off through the 14th with the code I just posted in the promo code thread. Not sure how shipping compares. I've had good luck with all parts I've gotten from them. Customer service is also good. Part #C57E.

Re: Best pins and bushings?
I would do your best to find a set with brass bushings... As opposed to nylon if you can.

Re: Best pins and bushings?
I've bought dozens of sets of them from Classic Parts up in Missouri. They include the brass bushings. Seems like they're about 5 bucks per set.
Wanted to add, I have bought dozens because I restored a bunch of hinges over the years for customers, not because they failed and needed replacing again. |
Re: Best pins and bushings?
Even the ones on the "help" boards at the local parts stores have the brass in them I had never seen nor heard of the ones with nylon bushing, that is plain obsurd. I have changed hundreds of sets for the 88-98 C and K trucks They had a little bigger bushing on one side of the hinge but on the other hand the door was twice as heavy. I changed them because I am know for working on that style of truck and at the time the Chevy dealer would also send his trucks to me for pins and bushing replacement. Jim

Re: Best pins and bushings?
.....Absurd it is. The ones I took out of this truck were nylon. Replaced somewhere along the way, and worn completely through.
