Silly Question

Just for my reference:

Did all1966 trucks that were not white but had white painted headlight housing, always have the body area behind the headlights painted white as well?

Or did some trucks come with all one body color even if they did have the headlights painted white?

Re: Silly Question

as far as I know the part behind the grille on chevys was always black, never body color.
I had asked about gmc's, and the result was spilt depending on the production plant,.
on the gmc the ring around the grille, and behind the grille was body color, but at some plants they painted behind the grille black like the chevys

also a common thing is that the entire grille support was painted body color at the factory, then the black and white were added...
the black did not hold up to the elements and is usually faded away by the time we see one of these trucks... here are some pics of the different styles, the chevy is an untouched og "oem for me" truck... 30 k miles, or something like that....
