NOS 69-72 Blue Horn Cap on eBay

Here is an NOS 69-72 Blue Bowtie Horn Cap on eBay. It's not mine, but if I didn't have one already, it would be.

Hopefully one of our members will snatch it up.

Wish I had the money for it. What is it doing in Saudi Arabia

Good eye! I didn't even catch that. That's a good question. Maybe someone on tour? Not sure...

Gotta find a N.O.S. steering wheel for it to be worth much for me. I like "having" cool parts, don't get me wrong. Just sayin'

I hear you Tim. I bought my horn cap about three years ago, and the wheel I had was pretty good, but not NOS. However, if you happen to be in the right place at the right time, an NOS or near NOS wheel may come one's way.

Since threads like this are usless (without pictures or numbers) once the auction closes I grabbed and chopped the picture for later reference. The P/N 3952131 works out to be a service replacement part (no surprise there) for the 69-72 Black steering wheel applications. Can't find its first use but it was superceeded by the 73-77 Chevy G van part 3266772.

Slight hijack, but Tim or anyone else - I have a NOS cap like this with a yellow bowtie on it. Is it a later service replacement or is it intended to go on anoter vehicle? The emblem color didn't really matter to me and I got it cheaper than I could get a repro for, just curious what I have. Thanks
Russ

Russ, that would have been from a 73-78 Van. Might be wrong about '78 but the same steering wheel was still on Vans a few years after pickups.

I put a repro horn button on my '72 and it isn't made to fit properly. The angle of the sides differs from the steering wheel,so an OEM is great shape, repainted,or N.O.S. is surely worthwhile. When I go to use my N.O.S. wheel I'll definitely be using an OEM button.

Good to know, thanks for the info!
