How to remove dash??
I need help! Can someone tell me what i have got to do to get the dash out of a truck?
Thanks :bowtie: |
there are several bolts on each end of the dash that hold it to each side of the cab, then all along the front lip where the bottom of the windshield is, there are spot welds that you need to drill out.
Some have just removed the dash pad, then have just cut the dash out along the edge that was hidden by the pad. What are you trying to do? I have removed my complete dash (non air) and replaced it with an air dash. |
Thank you
I have i parts truck nearby and i am wanting to pull the dash out for my truck.
Thanks again :bowtie: |
the whole dash or just the cluster, if it is just the cluster, then you have to remove a series of screws, pull the headlight knob out by reaching under the dash and finding the retaining button on top of the switch, the windshield wiper knob has a set screw located underneath it also.

I thought it would be easier then what it was, I cut down the middle of the dash took the bolts out but it was still held in by some spot welds and they werent easy to take out. However if you take out the entire dash up to the windsheild frame by drilling out the spot welds on the frame it will come out easier. Its kind of a toss up though as to which method is easier.
