Drop Spindle rub
2 Attachment(s)
I have 15x8 Rallys with a 4" BS, the front is lowered with 2 cut coils, want to go lower but with spindles, are there any rubbing issues with this rim and a 2" drop spindle, this what my front end looks like :smoke:

Re: Drop Spindle rub
You will need to trim the lower control arm around the balljoint to eliminate contact with the wheel.
You also need taller coil springs. 1.5 cut coils or 3" drop springs is the max you can go on these trucks. 2 full coils removed is too much. (did you have it aligned after the cut coils?) Also I bet your spring is loose in the spring pocket with the wheels off the ground. |

Man, as good as that truck looks as it sits, I would leave it alone.

Re: Drop Spindle rub
I still can't get used to your truck painted and on rallys. Looks great
From what I've always heard & read, 2" spindles should* work with 15" rallys. I've always heard the trimming becomes necessary for 3" spindles. * I say should because when I dropped mine I went up to 20s. I haven't tried my stocker 15s since my drop. |
Re: Drop Spindle rub
I used drop spindles, and used the 7" rallys on the front. Several people here said the 8" will rub, but you can grind it to clear.

Re: Drop Spindle rub
This was right after I did the drop. Replaced them and the sway arm bushings.
