Basket weave armrest pad info request
 

Hi Guys,
Wondering if anyone on this board can give me any info on this basket weave pad vinyl armrest? I bought this one on Ebay over 5 yrs. ago seller claimed it was NOS (I know many claims of NOS parts often prove to be false) but not sure if this vinyl pattern is original or redone? I checked with the guys over on the 60-66 trucks board which I am usually on, many think it is not original vinyl and has been recovered, which might be the case? The vinyl part was originally dark green in colour with black base & no chrome trim. I redyed it in moss green to match my truck interior. I have just seen a set of supposedly original armrests on Ebay in rough shape but appear to have the same vinyl pattern on them, also green in colour. Seller says they are from a 55-59 Chevy/GMC truck. So I thought I'd check to see if anyone here has any info on whether this basket weave pattern was an option on 55-59 trucks? I am hoping to find another one to match for my passenger door.
